Factory-Authorized Service for Select Brands

Control Concepts provides factory-authorized service for select industrial automation and motor-control manufacturers, including:

UL 508A Control Panel Capabilities

Control Concepts is a UL 508A panel shop, providing custom industrial control panel design, fabrication, installation, testing, and programming.

UL 508A establishes requirements for industrial control panels. Maintaining our UL 508A certification demonstrates that our panel-building processes meet applicable UL requirements.

For our customers, this provides additional confidence that qualifying panels are built using documented procedures, appropriate components, and recognized safety requirements.

  • Qualifying panels are built in accordance with applicable UL 508A requirements
  • Our panel-building practices are subject to UL oversight and periodic inspections
  • UL 508A certification helps support inspection and compliance requirements for industrial control panels

Our Approach to Troubleshooting

Our technicians use the SMARTS troubleshooting approach to evaluate industrial automation problems systematically and avoid unnecessary repairs.

S – Safety. Before diagnostics begin, we make sure personnel, customers, and equipment are protected.

M – Manual. Manufacturer documentation helps our technicians interpret fault codes, diagnostic messages, operating parameters, and equipment requirements.

A – Application. We troubleshoot the complete application rather than assuming an individual component is the source of the problem. Many equipment faults are caused by conditions elsewhere in the machine or electrical system.

R – Readings. We evaluate line voltage, motor current, temperatures, and other operating conditions to identify issues such as unstable voltage, electrical noise, overheating, or power-quality problems.

T – Talk. Operators and equipment users often provide valuable insight because they know how the machinery normally operates and what occurred immediately before the failure.

S – Simple Solutions. We rule out straightforward causes before moving into more complex and costly troubleshooting or repairs.
